Rhema II

The purpose of this book is to give to Christians, yearning and desiring the true and undiluted word of God; a study guide of sound Biblical Concepts.  We are enjoined in the Bible to “search the scriptures, for in them you think ye have eternal life and they are they which testify of me” John 5 v39.

The will of the father is embedded in HIS words.  To know His will we are compelled to study the words of God line-by-line and precept-by-precept.  To grow deeper in the faith we also need to study the word of God; Apostle Paul charge the Christians in one of his epistle to Timothy, thus “study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  But shun profane and vain babbling; for they will increased unto more ungodliness” 2nd Timothy 2v15-16. It was also recorded that the true art of nobility lies in the knowledge of the word of God, for example it was recorded for the brethren in the city of Berea that; “these was more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and search the scriptures daily whether those things was so.  Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women, which were Greeks and of men, not a few” Act 17 v11-12.

We cannot attain unto perfection and reach the utmost height without the word of Gods, the word eliminate doubt and give us even more assurance of our salvation, the Bible recorded in 1st John 5v11-12 “and this is the testimony God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his son.  He who has the son has life; he who doesn’t have the Son of God does not have life” It is indeed the study of the word of God that gives us the assurance of our salvation.

With the inspiration from  the Holy Spirit divine, this book is divided into four (4) Chapters and a total of forty-seven (47) studies; structurally presented to the readers in a clear and simple manner. The indexing will help to simply locate a chapter and topics of interest to devotionally study based on the need of the hour.

Chapter 1  – Lesson from notable Bible characters; summarily study and selected Bible characters in both the OT & NT.  The essence of this is to study their life style, their success and their failure; then apply it to our present day, taking lesions from them so that we can avoid their pitfall and emulate their sterling qualities with the hope of making us a better, Spirit-filled and victorious Christian.

Chapter 2 is purely book review. Some selected books in the OT and NT are reviewed; the sole aim of this studies is to make Christian become well equipped with scriptural truth for ministry (II Timothy 2 v 15 – 16) and to make us what God want us to be; through proper understanding of scripture which results in a deepened relationship with God and a more effective Christian life – II Timothy 3V15 – 17.

Chapter 3 is a short story; featuring a Professor and his students, attempting to explain or probe into the nature and attributes of God with merely an intellectual mind. This chapter actually is  a prelude, introducing the next and concluding chapter.

Finally, Chapter 4 (which concludes this book) is centered on the Names, Attributes and Characteristics of God. This chapter is to make us know the true God; His names, His nature and His characteristics; for the Bible tells us that, “they that know their God shall be strong, and do exploits  – Daniel 11 v 32; sadly most people really do not know God whom they serve and worship just as it were in the apostles days  In Acts 17v23, Apostle Paul saw a temple dedicated to the “unknown God”. We cannot serve, satisfy and receive the best from the “unknown God!” I strongly believe we should desire to learn more about the only true God; the supreme and divine one; the Elohim, the El-Elyon, the El-Shaddai, the El-Olam; the great I am that I am.

From the foregoing, you would agree with me that this book is heavily loaded. So many Bible references has been provided so that Bible scholars, teachers and Bible student will find the book very useful both for personal study, home fellowship, family devotion, Bible studies or even Sunday school class. This book is indeed not for docile, lazy or visionless people; but the heavenly concisions and the earthly wise. I am persuaded a new dawn is about to begin in your life. You cannot devotional and prayerful study with me and remain the same! NOW, it is everyone’s chance to learn more about God, about the purpose of their existence, creation and life, about the prophets of God, and about His Holy Books; this is why this book is written to help us know more about our God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit divine and the life style in the Kingdom.

I therefore prayerfully present this book to you in the hope that it would be used of God to bring a simple and clear understanding of his word, to inspire you to dig deeper into the study of the words of God with faith to receive the full benefits of the gospel for your body, soul and spirit.
